Sitopala sugar candy powder -16 parts
Vamshalochana (inner white light part of bamboo tree) -8 parts
Pippali (long pepper) – 4 parts
Ela (cardamom) – 2 parts
Twak (cinnamon) -1 part
Mix the above mentioned ingredients in exact proportions in powdered form and store in an airtight jar.
Sitopaladi Churna has a shelf life of 2 years if stored in a sealed airtight jar. It should be consumed within 2 months of opening the sealed jar.

Dosage of Sitapaldi Churna differs according to the ailment and also from person to person. Under normal conditions, a person should be given 1-3 grams of churna twice or three times a day before or after food, depending upon the requirement.
It should be consumed with ghee. Half a teaspoon of Churna should be taken with the same quantity of ghee. A teaspoon of honey should be consumed after every dose.
Sitopaladi Churna for Kids:
If you wish to give your child Sitapaldi Churna, ensure your doctor has consented to it. Though it is quite safe for kids, it is better to be safe than sorry.
How Long Should It Be Taken?
- One should avoid taking Sitapaldi Churna on a long-term basis. Take it for a couple of months and then give a gap of a month before resuming.
- It is best avoided during summers because it generates heat in the body.
- Try and avoid taking during pregnancy. Consult your gynaecologist prior to consuming Sitapaldi Churna if you’re nursing.
