Garlic has antibacterial properties so eating lots of it will go a long way in helping you get rid of throat bacterial or fungal infection.
If you get throat infection very frequently, the doctor might suggest tonsillectomy. This is a surgery done to remove the tonsils from the throat.
You can prevent infections by following healthy lifestyle, balanced diet, regular exercise, good hygiene. You should brush your teeth twice daily and bath regularly. With these good practices, the number of times you visit the doctor can go down.
