Being health conscious has caught on and more people are watching what they eat, working out, and paying working to prevent diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart attacks. People have been warned often enough that having high blood pressure can lead to a heart attack or a stroke, and they are heeding the warnings. - Being unable to concentrate
- Skin that feels cold or clammy
These symptoms can alert the doctor to the fact that something is wrong before your pressure drops to a level so low that it causes your body to have a heart attack from an insufficient supply of blood. Blood pressure that is too low can also send a person into shock. This is a serious condition for the people who suffer from it.
Improving Low Blood Pressure
There are things you can do to keep your blood pressure at a healthier reading. The following tips are meant to be used as indicators for you to use to determine if you need to seek medical attention, not as a substitute for the diagnosis and treatment from a health care provider.
- Eat a proper diet
- Drink plenty of water. Water actually causes an increase in your blood volume which in turn raises your blood pressure to a more normal level
- Avoid alcohol since it dehydrates you and causes a decrease in blood volume
- Eat smaller meals more frequently instead of three larger meals, and make certain you include some carbohydrate rich foods in your meals
- Adding more sodium to your diet will increase your blood pressure
- Taking Basil leafs juice with honey will treat low blood pressure.
See your health care provider for regular check-ups and always make them aware of any concerns you are having, or of any problems you may have started experiencing. The symptoms of low blood pressure are the same symptoms people suffer when they have other ailments as well so you need a doctor to confirm the condition.
