In most of the cases an insect bite while pregnant does not harm the mother-to-be or the yet to be born. But, there are cases where a simple mosquito bite had put the life of both the mother and infant in danger due to the onset of unexpected complications. Hence, it is advisable to take necessary precaution to avoid undesirable events.
