Homemade Barley Water Recipe:

1. Ingredients:

1 cup barley,
Freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 pints water, and
Salt and sugar, as per flavor

Process:

  • In a big vessel, add the water and barley, and carry the blend to boil. As soon as the water arises to boil, lower the heat and let it simmer till the level of water is condensed to half.
  • Check once in a while or the water may totally vanish! Once the chosen level is reached, turn off the heat and let the combination cool.
  • When it reaches room temperature, drain the mixture by a sieve and improve salt and sugar. Also, enhance the lemon juice and mixing well. Your drink is prepared to be served!
  • Barley water can taste plain if you add lemon juice, sugar and salt.

2. Barley Water with Honey & Lemon:

  • Boil 3 tablespoons of barley in 1L of water for a few minutes. Allow it to cool.

  • Add juice of 1-2 lemons and 1-2 tablespoons of honey.
