How To Get Rid of a Bridezilla

Godzilla is best known for being almost indestructible, stronger than most monsters, equipped with special powers and can even release powerful rays from the mouth. This is indeed a formidable opponent that few would care to mess with, much like the bride on her wedding day. Bridezilla wants everything to be absolutely perfect for her big day. This can make planning a wedding a nightmare. The good news is that there are a number of ways to get rid of her.

Create a common ground

It is no secret that a woman’s wedding day is one of the most important days that she has been looking forward to forever, but even she has to acknowledge that it is your wedding too. There are a few ways to reach an understanding. Explain to her that your only intention is to help and not to take over. Explain that there are limits as far as finances and resources, so that she doesn’t end up running costs into the tens of thousands. Reassure her that you just want to make her happy.

Be realistic

Every Bridezilla wants her dream wedding, but in these tough times that is not always possible. Money is the biggest factor. You have to be realistic about what you can afford to spend on the wedding. Always set a budget so that you know how much to set aside and so you don’t end up with large amounts of debt afterwards. Time is often against any Bridezilla because she wants to do a million things in a limited time. Be realistic about what can and can’t be done in the time. Although the two of you are getting married, you also have to consider the feelings of the guests at your wedding. They can’t be expected to be on standby all the time.

Suck it up and let go

Sometimes a Bridezilla is so powerful that you can’t do anything even if you tried. On the other hand if they aren’t as bad as others you have seen or heard about then maybe it is best if you just let it go. You can understand that this is a big day for her and she wants everything to go off without a hitch. You love her and want to spend the rest of your life with her. She will only be Bridezilla for a few months at most, and once that is over you can resume your life and be happy together.
