  1. In WhatsApp, go to Settings > Chat Settings > Backup conversations
  2. The file, which will be stored in your phone will be “msgstore.db.crypt7”, which you will get on /WhatsApp/Databases folder.
  3. Whenever you want to restore this backup , uninstall WhatsApp and find the correct backup file from the WhatsApp folder. Old one is named like : “msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt7”. To restore any of these, rename the file to “msgstore.db.crypt7”.
