How To Remove Candy Stains

Candy is such a favourite among all age groups and many of us just love the sweet taste it leaves in the mouth. Yet, candy stains are infamous and even stubborn and all most all surfaces and textures are not adequately protected against these stains. However, there are remedies and let us look at how candy stains can be effectively removed.

1. Removing Candy Stains From Linen, Cotton, Acrylic, Nylon, Polyester And Spandex

Soak the fabric in warm water with a mild detergent to remove the stain. In case the stain persists, it will be good to add a few drops of ammonia to the soapy water and soak the fabric for at least 30 minutes. The fabric can be rinsed thoroughly with water.

Make a solution with 1 tablespoon white vinegar and warm water. Soak the fabric in this solution for 30 minutes. Ensure the cloth is well rinsed after 30 minutes and allow it to dry. You could use a wee bit of alcohol by rubbing the stain if the stain persists. Important to keep the stain moist with alcohol the process can be repeated as long as the stain is removed and then the fabric can be rinsed thoroughly. Continue the same process as long as the stain is visible. Rinse well with water and allow the fabric to dry. Do not use alcohol on acrylic.

2. How To Remove Candy Stains From Wood?

Dip a cloth in warm and mildly soapy water. Wipe the stain with this cloth. Rinse using a clean damp cloth. Wipe the area dry.

Use a scraping tool to lift the caked stains and scrape away as much as possible. Use a sponge dipped in warm water and use simple, light strokes on the stain to wipe away the stain. Next, add few drops of white vinegar on a wet spotter and apply on the stain. Use an absorbent pad and press down on the stain. Ensure the stain is moist with the vinegar. When no more stain is left, flush the spot with water. If you can spot the remnants of any stain, repeat the process again using alcohol in place of the wet spotter and vinegar. After the stain is gone, it needs to be rinsed with water thoroughly.

Note: While cleaning the carpets, ensure the excess liquid is blotted out using an absorbent pad.

First step is to scrape the excess stain from the surface. Then, scrub the area with a solution of washing soda or detergent. Now, rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry.

This is fairly simple. All you need to do is to dip a cloth in warm soapy water and wipe the stain from the surface. Rinse well and wipe dry.

The first step is to scrape out excess stain from the leather or suede. Make a solution of mild soap in water and swish the solution to create foam. Use the foam on the leather or suede using a sponge. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
