- Strawberry and Yogurt
Strawberries taste awesome, but they are also good for oily skin facial. You can mix a few ripe strawberries with yogurt to make a thick paste. Apply on face and the wash off after 10 minutes. This mask reduces oiliness and works well to prevent acne formation.
- Honey and Oatmeal
Oatmeal and honey mask can also be ideal to cope with oily skin. Mix a spoon of oatmeal with honey and some lemon juice. Apply this mixture on face and keep on for some minutes. Then, rinse with water carefully.
- Yogurt and Banana
You can mix a banana with a spoon of yogurt and fuller earth to form a thick paste. Pour in some peppermint oil in it. Apply it on face and ensure the eye area remains untouched. Wash with water after 15 minutes or so.
- Honey and Apple
Apple is the fruit that can keep doctors away, as goes the old proverb. However, using Apple with honey can be beneficial for people with oily skin. Peel an apple and discard the seeds. Then, mix it with some honey to make a thick paste. Apply it on your neck and face. It will be sticky and tight. Wash off with lukewarm water after 12-15 minutes.
- Egg white And Cucumber
Cucumbers are great for skin and when you use them with egg whites, the effect on skin is superb. Mix juice of a cucumber with one egg white and fuller’s earth. Add some lemon juice to it. Apply the paste on neck and face. Rinse with warm water after 10 to 12 minutes. This works well to reduce oiliness.
- Aloe Vera and Orange
Orange is a citrus fruit with Vitamin C and antioxidant properties. Aloe Vera is a natural herb with proven healing and hydrating properties. When used in combination, they work wonders for oily skin. Mix juice of an orange with a spoon of aloe vera extract or gel. This mask can be applied on face. Wash with lukewarm water after 15 minutes. It hydrates the skin and reduces oiliness simultaneously.
Toning Oily Skin
After using a mask or cleansing pack to clear the skin pores and surface, it is time to tone it. Rose water can be used for toning oily skin. As an alternative, you can use a combination of lemon juice and grated cucumber to tone skin. After patting the solution on skin with cotton pads, wash off with cold water.
Moisturizing Oily Skin
Contrary to the widespread misconception, oily skin does need its share of moisturizing. You can use water based moisturizers for oily skin. After cleansing and toning, moisturizing completes the facial, as it is.
