Dogs can have bad breath (a.k.a. halitosis) just as much as humans can. Oftentimes it is caused by poor digestion, but you can learn how to get rid of a dog’s bad breath.

Causes

Besides not digesting food properly because of a poor diet, a dog might have food stuck in it’s teeth. This could cause odor that could easily be removed at least in most cases.

The only time it would be difficult to get rid of a dog’s bad breath is if the animal is suffering health wise. Therefore, both home care and professional car is briefly covered below.

Solution #1-Clean out your Dog’s Mouth:

This can be done using a variety of methods. You could use a finger brush or toothbrush to scrub your canine animals teeth or gums. When doing so, make sure you use a toothpaste made for dogs that is not harmful when swallowed.

One important step is to cut down on the amount of meat you give your dog. Furthermore, consumption any other high-fat human foods by your dog should be drastically reduced. Instead, increase the dog’s consumption of veggies or rice.

You should also make sure your canine pet comes in as little contact with soil, dead plants, and dog waste as possible. These could increase possibility of contamination by bacterial and other pathogens that leads to excessive odor in the mouth.

Solution #3-Monitor your Dog’s Health

Just to make sure that your dog is not suffering a serious health condition of which results in bad breath, have your dog checked out. It is better to be safe than sorry and it is best if you take your dog to the vent as soon as possible.

You are also advised to take your dog to an animal doctor once a year for a more through and professional teeth cleaning. This may be one time when more serious problems (if any) can be recognized.

Solution #4-Additional Tip

Make sure you wash and rinse out your dog’s food and water dishes regularly. This will prevent bacterial buildup and as a result this simple action will reduce that mouth odor will occur.

You should also change your dog’s water at least once a day. After all, you would not want to drink dirty water would you? This advice should help you get rid of a dog’s bad breath in a reasonable amount of time-or prevent it.

How to Get Rid of Rust

Rust can be a very unsightly problem and removing it is sometimes is very challenging. However, if you know how to get rid of rust using the right methods you can prolong the life of your metal surfaces.

Cause this red stain that appears on metal takes place when water hits the surface and causes the oxidization of iron. It is the chemical reaction of iron and other alloys that forms these iron oxides that start to corrode any metal surface such as a car, wash machine, cabinet, shelf, etc.

Removing Rust from Metal (Steel)

Steel is one metal that still rusts, even though it is commonly referred to as stainless. It does not corrode as fast as other metal alloys. However, it does still require some care in the event the rust problem has already progressed.

Some fast tips regarding the removal of rust from stainless steel are shown below:

  • Use aluminum foil and cola. Take aluminum foil and rub it against the rusty portion of a metal surface or object. For best results, use a cola (preferably Coca-Cola® for this job). You could also rub a little bit of vinegar on the area, but never the cola and the vinegar together.

Apply an electric current. Just a small jolt of electricity works great for this purpose, as it is the electric current that can break apart bonded compounds. If you can fit the rusted metal object into the bucket that would be easiest. You can then place an electrode on the positive end of a batter cable and dip it into that bucket of water.

Then, you can take the negative end of the battery cable and make contact with it to the rusty area of the stainless steel. You will know this process is working if you see bubbles forming in the water, and when the the water is turning red.

This rust-cleaning method could take several hours, but it works better on more severely-rusted surfaces. When you are done with this process immediately dry the area with a hair dryer, but be careful throughout this entire process not to get electrocuted.

  • Apply a zinc solution. This is a mineral that can be used to convert iron oxides into a simple iron molecule. In the process, the rusting process is interrupted.

First, find a lye and water recipe. The goal is to combine enough of these ingredients to make it boil at 270°F or 130°C. Then, add zinc oxide or just place zinc into the water and lye solution to create a positive charge.

The end result is that the rust is stripped off. However, the iron itself is not affected, because the rust not the iron is what dissolves in alkaline solutions.

Other Rust Removal Advice

You may also need to learn how to get rid of rust from clothing, carpets, and more. From clothing you could use a variety of removal methods.

One idea would be to soak the rust stain with fresh or bottled lemon juice, then rinse thoroughly. However, you should remember to check the manufacturer’s instructions before attempting this just to make sure you will not damage the fabric.

If you want to remove rust from carpet, you can first scrape out as much of the rust from it using a dull blade. Maybe a butter knife. Then, spray the rust-stained spot with lemon juice and let this sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Then blot up with a paper towel.

For a more thorough cleaning you could also scrub dish soap on the affected area with a toothbrush and/or small scrub brush. Do this twice if necessary and let the carpet dry completely before you vacuum.

How to Get Rid of Plastic Bottles

Over 40 billion dollars a year are spent on bottled beverages. This leads to massive accumulation that is very hard to control. Sadly enough, over two-thirds of these end up in landfills, and therefore people are in certain of a better way to get rid of plastic bottles.

The Obvious Answer

If you have no additional use for a plastic bottle you are advised to recycle it. This is much better than throwing it in the garbage because the plastic will be processed and formed to make a new item.

Recycling is better than disposing in the garbage. However, you could also reuse the bottles.

Here are some common ways that plastic bottles are reused in or around homes (or at work):

  • It always makes a great water or beverage container. The ones with a drinking spout are especially ideal for this purpose. You can use it outside to quench your thirst when working on the yard or garden. You also can leave it in your car or even take a beverage to work in it.

Turn it into an air freshener. All you need to do is cut the top of the bottle off. Then, fill the bottom with potpourri chips or dried flower petals.

To make it more attractive you can cover it with silk, lace, or other decorative material that easily allows air to breath through it. You might consider dousing some of the potpourri or petals with fresh essential oil to make the scent even stronger.

  • Fill it with water and use it as an ice pack. This should save you at least a few dollars on your camping budget. What is most great is that it stays sealed like an ice pack does and does not drip all over your food.
  • Use it as a sandbag. Any time you need an anchor you can create one using just filling empty bottles with sand. They fit nice in the trunk of your car or they could be used to weight down larger flower or plant pots when transplanting.
  • Make decorative containers out of them. Using a variety of materials such as paint, glue, stickers, markers, beads, gems, and more you can make some award-winning crafts using water bottles. Maybe you can make flower vases or you can cut off the top and use it as a toothbrush or pencil holder.
  • Use it as a funnel. The only requirement is that the top of the bottle where the liquid comes out fits in the basin or container where you want to dispense fuel, cooking oil, etc. Just cut off the top of the bottle and turn it upside down. It works great.
  • Make a planter out of it. This is a great way to start out a seed that you would later plant in the garden. Just cut up off the bottom of the bottle and fill it with sand. Then add some water and seed.

Tape the top of the bottle back on and keep it in a warm place. When the seeds germinate and grow you can transfer the seedling to the garden or a larger pot or container.

How to Get Rid of Shyness

Shyness is an issue that many people struggle with. It could be because parents have not taught their children social skills or they just lived in isolated areas.

However, it could also be fear of rejection that stems from being picked on as a child that causes a person to be shy. This issue could also result from genetics, as some people are naturally less inclined to need people than extroverted individuals are.

There are a number of ways to get rid of shyness, such as what follows:

  • Use small talk or humor to break the ice. If you are a little bit rusty on making jokes that people laugh at humor may not be your best selling point. However, you can at least use small talk to break the ice. For instance, you might see a beautiful woman or handsome woman at a bus stop and say “you mind me asking where you are headed?”
  • Or maybe you can just start by formally introducing yourself and asking the person his/her name. It also might help to compliment something non-sexual about the person, such as “that’s a nice jacket” or “cool shirt!”
  • You can focus on the most interesting parts of you, and work with that. For instance, if you are good at drawing, painting, or singing you can work with that.

The same is true if you like the outdoors, watch old movies, or you travel frequently. Even if your life is just about working, eating, and sleeping there must be something interesting about you.

You would in fact be surprised that there is for instance people who are fascinated by others who can program computers. Whatever your interests are just talk about those like you are proud of them and you will at some point find somebody who shows the same passion for similar.

  • Decide who you are, what your values are, and express those. Generally speaking if you have an opinion about something in this world you can make a better impression on people. As long as you do not need to be right all the time and you respect other differences of opinions you will actually start quite a bit of good conversations.
  • If one person seems uninterested go on to the next. Just remember if one person you try to talk to does not open up much it is not you. After a few minutes of trying to strike up a conversation with someone just realize that it’s not necessarily you. It just not be a person you were meant to get to know at this time.
  • Use internet tools. Some people are natural conversationalists via the written word. Therefore, talking online may be advantageous. Of course, at some point it will be necessary to meet face to face. However, it helps to get used to talking to one another. Talking online helps a lot.

Overcoming Performance Shyness

This usually requires just as much practice as does overcoming social shyness. On suggestion would be to prepare your classroom speech, musical performance, or stage line alone first. Then maybe present the work in front of a friend before going live.

A shopaholic does not necessarily become that way overnight. It often does not occur until a person starts to have more disposable income. If a person does not address this issue no amount of money they make will ever be enough.

Here are some pointers for helping you get rid of impulse buying:

  • Own the problem. You can only blame circumstances so much. If you spend all your earnings or profits on things you do not need you will not have any money for emergencies, and you have to admit to yourself this is partially your fault.
  • Practice self-discipline. In doing so you may need to make a list of your needs and your wants. Be honest about this, as people often think they need far more than they actually do. You need something if you cannot literally live without it, such as food, water, or shelter. Even then do not splurge on the most expensive food all the time.
  • Create a budget. In this weekly, monthly, or yearly spending plan you can set aside a reasonable amount of money to spend on entertainment, clothes, and so on. After that, you should wait until next month.
  • Leave your credit/debit cards at home. The money on your credit cards should really be reserved for emergencies or durable purchases. It should not be used for restocking your wardrobe or buying expensive jewelry or other frivolous items. If you have a debit card leave it at home and just carry as much cash as you need to make planned purchases.

An Extra Tip

In order to get more of the items you want you could find them at cheaper stores. You would be surprised how much extra you may pay for merchandise or services that you could acquire for far less money.

  • Take interpersonal communication training. Even one 12-hour seminar or training session can help you learn how to open up to people more.   • Improve your outer appearance. Physical appearance is not everything. However, it does matter. How you take care of yourself on the outside reflects how you feel about yourself on the inside.

How to Get Rid of Coffee Grounds

Coffee beans taste better than instant coffee. That is why people use them. However, they can leave behind an unsightly mess and you have to learn how to get rid of coffee grounds afterward.

Making Fuel Logs or Chips

First, you need these items for creating your logs or wood chips:Coffee grounds, metal wire, and candle wax. You also need a car jack, varnish, paintbrush, and soap. You also may need a cutter.

After you have gathered what you need for this project please follow these steps:

1. Wash the used grounds. All you need to do is add a little bit of soap to them and rinse them out with water until the soap is gone. This is important because all the sticky mucous-like substance that surrounds each little grit needs to be removed.

Once you have removed all the slimy goo you can dry the used coffee with a towel. This is very important as too much moisture can cause it not to burn well. (Although, you are probably not going to use it until completely dried anyway.)

2. Assemble the log. It should be mixed together with liquid candle wax. Then, you should mold it together to form your log. You can during this time use your car jack to help press the newly-formed log and then you can bind it together with the metal wire.

3. Cut the log (if you want). This step is especially meant for if you choose to make chips out of your log. You can cut it up into slices if you want, but it is not absolutely necessary if you prefer to keep it as a log.

Making Coffee Plywood

This is another super-fun way to make great use of what would otherwise be household waste. You can use the finished product for just about anything.

To make your java plywood you need the following materials:

Coffee grinds, hammer, chisel, wood glue, sander, soap and water, and towel. Realize that you are doing to need a huge supply of grounds for this project. It may require that you collect these for awhile before you try to make your supply of construction material.

After you have gathered your processing supplies and have collected enough of your raw material (the used java remains) follow these steps:

  • Wash your grins with soap and water. You would so so just like you did to make the wood chips or logs. See the “Wash the Used Grounds” step shown earlier in this article.
  • Prepare and assemble your board, then let dry. First, flatten each grind with your hammer. Then, use a chisel to chip away excess ground husk. First, you may want to understand the symptoms of stage fright before trying to treat it. This will help you better deal with the problem faster come time to do something about it.

Stage Fright Symptoms

One of the most common signs of stage fright is a racing heartbeat, or an irregular pulse. Sweaty palms or forehead also are quite common, and the chills may also take place when someone is petrified.

Dry mouth, diarrhea, incontinence or jerkiness could also occur. You might feel very on edge or restless if you have stage fright, or you might have racing thoughts. More than likely you cannot sit still because you are in anticipation of your performance which you just want to be done and over with.

If you do struggle with stage fright there are ways to conquer your fears:

  • Breath in slowly and deeply. Breathing exercises are in fact one of the most beneficial actions you can take against stage fright. Just breath in as if you were trying to suck a straw.

Do this slowly until your stomach/abdominal area expands. Then exhale slowly. You can repeat this action for as many times as it takes for you to relieve the agitated, upset, and anxious feelings you are having.

  • Avoid foods and drink that could induce anxiety. Coffee and other caffeinated beverages (i.e. cola) often can increase rather than reduce anxiety. Certain acidic foods could cause gastrointestinal problems, too.

Therefore, avoid tomatoes, onions, etc. Also avoid unhealthy diet foods such as potato chips, candy, or fast food. The main objective here is to decrease anxiety by way of consuming a proper diet.

Alcohol is also not recommended, though it is often believed it can calm the nerves. It may calm you but then when the alcohol wears down it could actually contribute to increased anxiety problems.

  • Concentrate on the performance itself, and put your heart in it. There is a reason you are having to go on stage or perform a speech in front of someone. If you are going to the front of the room to talk chances are you are doing so because you are in a class, job, or role you chose to take.

In this case, just allow yourself to become the character or personality of whatever you are presenting to your audience. Putting your whole self into it will help you forget about the people around you.

Remember, this is your chance to express yourself, entertain people, make a point, or teach somebody something. This could be your chance to make a difference in the world.

  • Practice, practice, practice! This is in fact the most important step of your career or volunteer performance. Whether it is for the classroom or a performance hall you should do your best. You can do your best as long as you prepare your speech, performance, or part far enough in advance that you could (almost) do it in your sleep.

The reason why is mobile phone screens are more often than not made of the same material that is used to make an iPod screen. All it takes is a small amount of the solution applied to the cloth, and ten you wipe away the scratches.

Cleaning the iPod Back/Body

Sometimes the scratches on the body or back of an iPod are not quite as noticeable. It of course depends on the color of your device’s skin. In any case, if the blemishes are noticeable you may want to do something about it.

Otherwise, your device might look cheap and worn. You may not even want to carry it to work, school, or out with you anywhere any more the way it looks.

You can use rubbing compound, all purpose home cleaner, or metal cleaner for this purpose. Usually all you need to do is spray or apply on a cloth and then wipe it on your iPod carefully. Remember to only use enough to wet your device but do not use too much or the chemical could eat away at your medial player’s insides.

If you can identify with one of the signs of unhealthy sexual fantasy occurrence as shown above, you may have a problem. It is possible to stop your sexual urges or use diversion tactics to help reduce or eliminate unhealthy behavior.
