However common this might be, it can easily be treated with proper medication and maybe even a slightly improved diet with foods that are known to be beneficial towards curing indigestion.
Your indigestion symptoms can be caused either by some medication that you have recently used or by food that has either not be properly cooked or simply that your stomach was not able to handle it properly. This type of food seems to be different for every person, so we can’t tell you exactly what food to avoid if you are having this problem regularly.
Symptoms
The best thing that you can do is see your doctor immediately, especially when your symptoms are acute and chronic. The symptoms that are most commonly seen with indigestion are as follows:
- Repeated burping
- Heartburn spreading from the chest to the head
- Constant bloating
- Burning stomach pain
- Nausea and vomiting
The examination is pretty simple and the doctor will be able to diagnose the problem fairly quick, so there is no need for you to worry about a lengthy examination process. Also, you should remember to tell your doctor about specific medication that you have recently used because of the above mentioned issue.
Treatment
Your indigestion is usually cured with proper medication, such as antacids, acid suppressing drugs and prokinetic medication. Remember that you have to obey doctor’s orders and maybe even avoid certain types of food if the examination revealed that a specific food has caused this indigestion. In any case, you should always see a doctor even if you have encountered indigestion before and a certain drug has helped because this time your problem might be caused by something completely different.
Indigestion can easily be cured and you should always act upon experiencing the above mentioned symptoms because the sooner you see a doctor and start a treatment, the sooner you will be able to get rid of the nasty symptoms.
